Due to the crisis situation the company Meizu had some time to focus your hand only on the domestic market. However, after such a long lull, in late October, Meizu decided to break into the Russian space with the «old» devices.
To attract the Russians want to buy a new smartphone, the company decided three models: 16xs Meizu, Meizu Meizu Note 9 and M10. Today the object of our attention was the latest gadget — the smartphone 11 990 rubles with a «clean» Android, 8-core CPU and a triple camera.

Meizu M10 is available in three colors: Sea Blue, Purplish Red and Phantom Black. All options performed in classic Chinese smartphone fashionable style with shimmering back cover. Multilayer polymer «animates» blue shade panel M10 in color Sea Blue, forcing him to gradually lighten from the top face to the bottom.
The feelings, the back side is covered with glass, but from the first seconds to notice the catch yet not so difficult — the glass is high quality made with plastic, which at a steady pushing the cover slightly bend.
Very pleased that for the price Meizu has tried to simulate in external sales of more expensive smartphone. Fingerprints, however, to successfully remain in housing that personally, I have a few weeks, fortunately, did not have time to Scarpetta length and breadth given the lack of protective case. Rare placement in a pocket to unfriendly neighbors type keys and ruble coins Meizu M10 can withstand without problems.
The layout of elements in Meizu M10 standard: on the rear panel is triple camera, fingerprint scanner and the company logo at the bottom. On the front panel, also all the classics under glass large display with a small framework and a clear cutout for the front camera. Top fit light sensors and proximity, as well as led indicator, and at the bottom — everyone’s favorite chin.
On the left side volume control keys and power button, on the right — combined slot for two nanoSIM, one of which can be replaced by a memory card. The bottom features a microphone, 3.5 mm headphone Jack, speaker and microUSB port. Obsolete charging connector was my first minus — in the same Vsmart Joy 2+ on the bottom face positioned Type-C.
Tangible dimensions of the device indicate the presence of the screen is quite impressive size. Diagonal display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels is 6.5 inches. The pixel density at the level of the 270 ppi. Noticeable graininess on the IPS-matrix, to say it would be wrong, however, I immediately noted that such a big screen still lacks definition.
From the first seconds of acquaintance with the device my eyes in the most positive way impressed interface with the major elements, such as fonts and banal icons in the launcher. However, in other respects, the display has no complaints. The maximum threshold brightness 450 NIT enough to satisfy my requirements when using a smartphone in the sun.
The saturation of the display is not increased too, the glare from the backlight is minimal, black color a little fade at different angles, and white — remains unchanged.
The only drawback is the inability to calibrate the color tone. Thanks to the «pure» Android any settings available only to the night mode, which reduces eye strain. But it is worth noting that taking into account the characteristics and practical experience, we can confidently assume a standard color that transmits the screen more or less true.
The hardware and software
Heart Meizu M10 is MediaTek MT6757CD: it is easier to call him Helio P25. It is made on 16 nm process technology and has eight cores Cortex A53. The maximum clock frequency of the first four cores up to 2.5 GHz, rest — not more than 1.7 GHz. For the schedule meets the 2-core accelerator Mali-T880, MP2.
Permanent memory of just 32 GB, it is desirable to expand the memory card up to 128 GB. RAM in my case 3 GB. In 2019 this may not be enough, but in practice Meizu M10 quietly keeps in the background a few apps. Thanks to the work of proprietary technology MediaTek DuraSpeed active programs may be accelerated by reducing the priority of other background applications.
In AnTuTu Meizu M10 gathered 98 783 parrot. In the multicore GeekBench test 5 device has received 882 points in single-core — 179.
The operating system here is Android 9.0 — this was one of the notable chips among recently presented in Russia smartphone Meizu. From programs established by the company, there are only the Camera, browser and company store applications and utility updates and «My Flyme». Worse from their presence I did not, however, personally, when I first met the Meizu app store flatly refused to work. Well, that at least with Google Play is no problem.
The lack of the original shell Flyme for me is not critical, however it should be noted that Meizu M10 is not a member of the Android One, so the risk of lack of firmware updates and security patches is much higher than if the smartphone was the Meizu managed under a shell.
Overall, the interface is not podlagivaet and demonstrating stability as befits a «pure Android». The animation is quite smooth and without artifacts. Sometimes notice that the smartphone is sometimes difficult to withstand scrolling through long lists. For example, when scrolling through news feeds Vkontakte or Instagram noticeable slowdowns. In a difficult game «to be cut», of course, not out — power the filling is only enough for a light toy.
I should add a few words about autonomy. Built-in battery 4,000 mAh battery on average lasts for a full day of work with the screen about six hours. Alas, support for fast charging at Meizu M10 there, so to charge your smartphone via the microUSB will be about two and a half hours.
The main camera module Meizu M10 13 MP with aperture f/2.2 and the phase auto focus PDAF. The remaining two modules of 2 MP with an aperture of f/2.0. The first helps you to take portrait shots, and the second — is not clear. Yes, indeed, it is unclear why Meizu has built the third module, if its purpose is absolutely not explained and is not displayed in practice.
Macro shot with fixed focus at a distance of four inches there is no — usually the third module in some smartphones in use just for this. As a second «depth sensor» module also appears, as evidenced by the warning in the camera application about the violation of the «double effect» camera in low light or closing the palm of all modules.
Returning to the same Vsmart Joy 2+, the futility in triple chamber Vietnamese brand, I think, realized immediately, releasing a cheap smartphone with only two modules of the main chamber. Most likely, Meizu decided to go with the trends because by the end of 2019, without a triple the camera on the audience, it turns out that to get ashamed.
If you take pictures in very good lighting, there is a chance to get a good photo. Though the picture is more or less saturated, the camera often loses detail, which are obtained soap image. Of course, a bit annoying that photos are not instantly after pressing the shutter, noticed a short delay.
Further: it would seem that the worse the conditions, the worse the picture quality. In fact, the results impressed me — sometimes the camera Meizu M10 fails almost completely to convey the charm of the night streets. Night mode pictures are not very much change, but someone has this feature, I am sure, can still use.
To rent a decent video does not — absent a stabilization and allows you to create videos in high Full HD quality. If you try, using a cheap stabilizer from AliExpress can be improved significantly. Microphone, way, sound is a medium — sided city noise smartphone though, and tries to muffle, but, to put it mildly, the sound is not too clean.
Portrait shots camera can do, but often very much lubricated by the contours of the head. Their task is trying to cope and frontalka is 8 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.0 — ideal for making video calls, but no more. In practice, images are slightly dark, and the face is not particularly elaborated in detail. Basically, if you want to make the side, the front camera is willing, however, to expect the highest quality in this case is not worth it.
The fingerprint scanner is not very fast and not exactly the most accurate. Considerably often, the smartphone may ignore the finger or not to recognize the fingerprint. Eventually you get used to unexpected surprises when the scanner is not the first time recognizes the finger.
The main speaker is not bright minuses, but the pluses can not boast. The sound is normal, I would say, typical for the public sector. With earpiece during phone conversations interlocutor can hear very well. Stock volume when listening to music through wired headphones is enough.
From Meizu M10 dual-band Wi-Fi module, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2. Network the smartphone catches without problems. Unfortunately, contactless payment is not here — I believe that towards 2020 in this price range the lack of NFC module already count as a serious drawback.
Meizu M10 is a typical representative of devices of the budget class. Nothing amazing smartphone can not boast — it is the best of all: a good screen is enough for everyday productivity tasks, common for this class of camera.
Alas, the presence of a microUSB, to put it mildly, disappointing. Nothing bad about the lack of NFC and more nimble fingerprint scanner can not Express, knowing that the little things, because without the port, Type-C, the smartphone does not seem so attractive. I think this is a big mistake Meizu.
The rest of the device looks high quality and is quite suitable for undemanding users who choose a cheap smartphone for everyday use. On «Yandex.Market» price Meizu M10 starts at 9690 rubles, while the official price tag is set to 11 990 rubles.
