13 Feb at 11:13 Moscow time at the Baikonur cosmodrome was successfully launched the carrier rocket «Soyuz-2.1 a» with the transport cargo spacecraft «Progress MS-08». Nine minutes later there was a separation of the third stage of the rocket from the freighter. Two days later, on February 15, «the Progress of MS-08» will arrive to the International space station (ISS).

On Board the ship are: 1390 kg of dry cargo, 890 kg of propellant, 420 kg of water, 46 kg of compressed air and oxygen in cylinders. In the cargo hold laid the scientific equipment, components for life support systems, as well as food, clothing, medicines and means of personal hygiene for crew members, according to Roscosmos.
Earlier it was planned to send «Progress MS-08» track scheme, involving a 3.5 hour flight, however, when you start on 11 February was a malfunction in the onboard computer for the rocket «Soyuz-2.1 a». As a result, the launch was postponed to 13 Feb.
