Microsoft has unveiled the cheapest device Surface called Surface Go. The tablet may compete with Apple iPad and Chromebook for a share in sales to schools and universities.
Surface Go has a 10-inch screen with a resolution of 1800×1200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 3:2. Computing power provides the Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y with two cores at 1.6 GHz paired with 4GB or 8GB of RAM, as storage supports eMMC storage capacity of 64, 128 or 256 GB, a slot microSDXC. On the back panel mounted 8-megapixel photo sensor at the front — 5-megapixel with support for facial recognition technology Windows Hello. The battery will provide 9 hours the tablet without connecting to the mains, there is a single USB Type-C 3.1, 3.5-millimeter headphone Jack and a proprietary magnetic port Surface Connect.
Novelty is controlled by the operating system, Windows 10 S. This is a simplified mode of Windows 10, which is limited to the installation of programs and applications outside of Windows store. The possibility of a free upgrade to full Windows 10 Home.
Microsoft offers a number of accessories to the tablet: the stylus Surface Pen for $ 99 (~6 200 rubles), plug-in Go keyboard Surface Type Cover cost $ 99 (~6 200 rubles) and Surface mouse Mobile Mouse for $ 35 (~2 200 rubles).
