Microsoft announced its intention to make friends with your Edge browser Windows Hello, and thus to replace passwords for advanced authentication.
The company believes that in the network we store quite important data and a simple login with a password does not protect them from theft. Importantly, many users keep 1-3 variations of passwords for all their accounts and sites.
At the moment the innovation is available to test in a separate build Windows Insider program, 17723. The list of supported sites is in development.
After the full deployment of the system, users will be able to use the biometric sensor, scanning the faces or foreign keys FIDO (external USB drive) to login to sites.
